The Middle Eight

I grew up to the beat of electronic drums

Hurts. In pain. Show must go on.

Adam Hurts [beat] hurt his back last week and was so jacked up he could not play the band's gig at Union Chapel. So what did they do? Being the showman he is, Theo Hurts put Tali Lennox, daughter of Annie, onstage in Adam's spot, forlornly plucking flower petals all evening.

Now if that isn't a Golden Goddish rockstar move, I don't know what is.

Evidence...

I was there. It was actually quite surreal, what with being in a church and sitting in pews. But it was a brilliant gig and I didn't realise at the time that it was Tali Lennox. Theo just said that that Adam had sent her to stand in for him. Although I have to say it didn't feel completely like Hurts without him. I can also send you the official recording of Stay and Wonderful Life from the LNS if you want?

Lucky you... I would love to see a show to really get a sense of them. They are not selling (in fact, they are tanking), but people seem to like the shows. Would ALSO love to hear the files - my email is on a tab at the top of the blog. Thanks!

It's a shame they're not selling as well as they should, but their shows are brilliant. If you ever find yourself in Europe on a date they're touring, you have to go. I'll send you that email now.
