Calling Madonna Louise Veronica Wildenstein

Madonna at a party in Milan with her friends Dolce and Gabbana and her Little Baby Jesus boyfriend. You think, Oh, doesn't she look nice (click to enlarge photos for full effect)...

and then you see this (again, enlarge it)...

and you realize Madonna's 25-year imperial "phase" really is at a crossroads...

Thanks MuuMuse for the link

    herein lies the quandry:

if she didnt do somethign to her face, wouldnt we say she looks hideously old, wrinkled and haggard?

we cant win either way. its a problem.

Well, maybe, but this is so cliched.

Nice try. But you can't fool me, posting a photo of Amanda Lepore and claiming it's Madge . . .

Please, no! Madonna is going to morph into Donatella Versace any minute.

You're right, I'm loving the insightful commentary on the disparity between public and private in this entry. QUALITY WRITING!

And no, I'm not the same person as the one who posted after me. Do you actually think I would bother creating two identities to say essentially the exact same thing?

  7. # Blogger xolondon

Yes, actually. My apologies if I am wrong. Sorry you don't like this blog or my writing.

By the way, your comment was on another entry, about her W shoot in Buenos Aires last winter. Not this one.

I think it speaks volumes that rather than engage with the argument (there is no possible way you can believe that this entry is as you describe it) you resort to the old 'internet argument' trick of accusing me of being some loon who is using multiple profiles. I'm sure you must be able to check IP addresses or something. Unless you have such a high opinion of yourself that you think I switched computers to write two similar criticisms or something. What it looks like to me is that your consant veering between the most *petty* and juvenile insulting of Madonna (with the odd valid criticism thrown in, granted) and gushing fanboy love was thrown into sharp focus by the sheer contrast between the pathetic 'LOOK AT HER FACE LOL' entry and the one you wrote tonight. 2 people commented on it, I'm sure more noticed.

But meh, I can't even be bothered anymore. Ta rah.

"By the way, your comment was on another entry, about her W shoot in Buenos Aires last winter. Not this one."

"I think I prefer it when you just make fun of her face"

Thanks for telling me what my own comment was about, but I think I know myself.

Hahahah, I just realised that you're addressing the person who posted underneath me and the post he referred to.

    Pathetic.

Summer, you have made your point. I do get it about the cheap shots. Those may indeed have been cheap shots on my part and Madonna is certainly an easy target as the whole world watches her age (or not) while bloggers sit and blather in the darkness. I suspect many people think what I write is mean at times, but if you have a blog and your put yourself out there, you cannot expect everyone to agree.

I hope that my blog is not consistently viewed as spewing ill into the world - and I don't believe it is. Still, I have many sides and some of them are less politic or "gushing" as others. I am not sure what else I can say to you on this that would please you.
