It is Kate that brings us together

I'm sure I've said it before, but in college I had a poster of this image on my wall; it must be 6 feet tall. It's rolled up in my house - cannot bear to part with it. But more to the point, everyone should have this EP. Be Kind To My Mistakes is one of Kate's finest songs.

i was obsessed with The Sensual World album and kept playing This Woman's Work non stop. LAter i did a college paper on her Red Shoes mini movie thingy. I would post it but it was pretentious twaddle. (My paper not the album/accompanying visual media!)

This came on the reissue of Hounds of Love, and somehow ended up being one of my favourite songs on the album even though it's not actually on the album.

Does she have a proper B-sides album? I don't fancy pricing the boxset - Christmas is a long way off. I didn't know about the E.P and now realise I have still a lot of tracks to discover.

My favourite non-singles from the album are Reaching Out, The Fog and Deeper Understanding. Reaching Out is really quite grief-sticken, but maybe that's more about my interpretation.

An album that takes in all the seasons.

Undisco, Never Be Mine has turned out to be my theme song!

I don't think there is a bsides record. There seems to be little interest in exploiting her catalog (for good or bad) and now that we are staring at end times for the CD, I am not sure what will happen. I really think she needs to remaster her stuff. I don't have a lot of it on my ipod because it's all so old and weak sounding from the original CDs.

BE KIND TO MY MISTAKES is one of the most beautiful songs in the history of EVER. I can't believe that The Sensual World is going to be 20 years old this Autumn. Crazy.

I watched the video for the Sensual World single and it still amazes me.

This woman needs to make a new record. NOW.

Some I don't even have on cd. I have Never for Ever, my first Kate B, on tape. And The one with "Love and Anger" on a tape possibly copied from yours.

Do have Hounds on cd.

Correct me if I am wrong, but I thought that there was a b-sides/bonus tracks cd in the 'This Woman's Work' boxset - ??

I love 'Rocket's Tail'; the rousing chorus from Trio Bulgarka (or whatever they were called, my memory is dim) never fails to lift my spirits. When my best friend's mother died recently, I played TWW after knowing-so, and couldn't stop the flood of tears. Beautiful track. Even Maxwell did a good version of it. Can't hold a good song down!

Yes, there is a b-sides disc on the box set, if you don't mind paying a million bucks! Most of those songs are on the web now anyway, if you know how to look..

If you can find the vinyl LP of the Castaway soundtrack there's a longer and more glorious version of "Be Kind To My Mistakes" on it.

The single version is good but oh so painfully truncated.

And yes, she is long overdue for the deluxe remaster/reissue treatment.
