Learning Moment: I have faith in this love track

Pay attention: This classic from 1984 (and a never-worn favorite since that era), Madame Butterfly by Malcolm McLaren, is the underpinning of one of the first GREAT SONGS OF 2009.

Stay tuned for more...

GREAT song. My Aunty used to own this on a 12" record and I remember him blasting it out of his bedroom for years when I was a little tacker.

PNAU recently played this on their rage guest programing special. And I just LOVE that this was ripped from a night on rage too! (It's an all-night Aussie tv music program. The longest running music program in the world that's still in production, too.)

I feel old!

This came before Waltz Darling and Something's Jumping In Your Shirt, right? I had a weird 12" of one of those with strange etchings on one side.

PS I have just played the video and have to track down a copy NOW!

Over the years I had to cull a chunk of my record collection as I used to move house loads of times when being a student. Damnit but hurrah for Amazon's second-hand sellers.

I agree on the '09 thing--GORGEOUS. I'd never heard this source before either, but it's lovely as well.

Wow that took me back - I had this 12" back in the day. Fantastic track! Produced by Stephen Hague - the man is an absolute genius, a legend.
