Like a satellite, like a radio wave, a meteorite

Artist of the year? Album of the year? Not sure yet, but I believe Darren Hayes will take on all challengers (Tracey Thorn, Siobhan Donaghy, Patrick Wolf, La Bex, etc) in that battle. This Delicate Thing We've Made is everything I hoped it would be. And it has what will be the finest album cut of 2007 in Casey. Wait and listen, everyone will be talking about this song [ed: oh it's started!]. I got teary and chilled the first time I played it and I am no drama queen.

Full review coming this weekend!

Oh, that (your description of "Casey") sounds...divine. And to hear that about the album--I can't wait for it to come out. Forgive me if that's over the top, but that's exactly the sort of thing I was hoping to hear about it--and, coming from here (and J'ason--I think I remember him raving about "Casey" a while back), I'm certain that's not just hype.

Far be it from me to ignore the wise words of XO when it comes to top quality album cuts...

This man is every where. Its like he has consumed blogspot and has some strange promotional tie-in with the company to promote his new collection of ditties.

I will try my best to put aside my issues with both voice and individual with this album. Listening with prejudice is not my usual past-time but I will do my best for Darren.

Only because so many bloggers are raving about him....

thanks for suggesting CASEY, I have been stuck on 'Verge'and not able to dive deeper into the CD, now Casey can move me further into the CD.

I love Casey, the songs we've heard, Conversation With God, Tuning Of Violins - oh, too many to say. Stay tuned for the review!

I agree - this album is fantastic. And I've only listened to a few tracks out of context of the rest of the album.

As for album of the year, it'll all depend on Annie as I don't think Madge's album will kick like Confessions did.

Darren was on live Aussie TV tonight and was absolutely adorable talking about the day he proposed to his hubby. Was gushy and cute.

I just picked up the import CD single in America with "Fallen Angel" as the B-side. If the B-side is this good, the album will definitely be MAJOR.
