Bjork on Timbaland

In the next Pitchfork installment:

...he went off and did the Justin [Timberlake] album and I think Nelly Furtado. So he sort of didn't have time to attend the aftermath, really, which turned out to be a blessing, because it meant I could noodle with the results for a year, and edit the fuck out of them...
Early review here. No strings, lotsa brass and beats.

That's an older picture above, by the way.

I haven't looked forward to a Bjork album in YEARS... it's like a gathering snowball of excitement!

I absolutely love that quote. Hopefully Madonna's taking notes.

I cannot wait! I love every Bjork release, including Medulla, Vespertine, etc. Homogenic is in my top 5 albums of all time. She is a true maverick in the music world, and works very hard at being an individual. Sounds like the fire's about to reignite...

Adem IAR is so completely completely bang on. Someone, someone must read this blog who has Madonna's ear. But then again, she is ruthless when it comes to doing what she wants to do. I wouldn't put it past her to work with Timbaland then take the whole thing back to S.Price to run his disco combine harvester over back and forth a few times. Maybe this is wishful thinking on my part.

Re M: What is probably safe to say is that whatever she does with any of those guys will not sound like hiphop. I do not believe Madonna is doing that kind of record. It's early days anyway. I doubt this is on '07 album.
