I grew up to the beat of electronic drums
I'll watch a bit of this trash. She'd better whip her tits out...
Hey! Just watched the "event"...it was really quite good...much better than the previous tour, although I still prefer Drowned World to all of them. This had some fantastic moments like Music w/rollerderby and Jump w/great dance sequences, but it is hard to top her bungee flights during DW, plus all that great Ray of Light/Music music. Wasn't too impressed with her rendition of Ray of Light--they lowered the key and it zapped lots of energy she usually delivers w/the climactic wail, making it seem wooden. Not sure about the treatment of Let it Will be either...I feel they kinda destroyed the song with all the stretching and hammering. Like a Virgin was great however with enough modern sounds to make it seem current. Why does Madge still feel it necessary to subect us to almost an entire show of new material every time though? I know she is reluctant to play "hits", but that's what people pay big bucks to see, right? Even a couple more would have been nice (but does it have to be "La Isla Bonita" every time?). That being said, the sound/music, camera work, staging and dancing were mostly incredible, and the music much more enjoyable than the Reinvention tour. I was down with all the sexuality she brought when she was a bit younger, but now it seems kind of forced and uncomfortable, like catching your parents doing the nasty. She looks so cool in the riding outfit, so why does she need to take it to a stripper pole? Anymore, I think she sells her talent short when pulling stunts like that or pointing at her punanny. We all know it's there from pictures, you had kids, so just let it will be. ;) And why NBC? The commercial breaks were ghastly. I guess more could see it that way? Overall, it looked and sounded pretty great.
I watched. Pretty good. I liked "Music."
