Jeff Buckley re-release

In the Continued Bilking of the Decomposed Department:
Jeff Buckley's enterprising mother is continuing to "preserve his legacy" by releasing a 3-disc special edition of Grace. Check out details on Dead Jeff's website. I'll probably buy this one as it may be worthy, unlike the other special releases.

Look at you with the comments, TV!!!! Welcome to the big kids club. ;) Now I shall wreak havoc with my barbed witticisms. Or some shabby approximation thereof, whichev.

I discovered JB courtesy of VH1s "Top 100" albums back in 2001--go me with being hip and up-to-the-minute--and at my first listen was literally moved to speechlessness. "Grace" is lovely and evocative (albeit, at this point, overplayed) so here's hoping that this new version does it justice, 'cause at this point it wasn't broken so hooch didn't need to try and fix it. I'm just sayin'....

Here's what I think. Jeff's mom should hook up with Tupac's mama and they can make millions (thousands?) off their dead sons. OK, so that was a bit harsh. At least Tupac has some previously un-released tracks that she could, um...what's the appropriate word here....market? But simply re-releasing an album? That already came out on disk? (wasn't like it was originally released on LP or something). Well, we'll have to wait and see what makes it so "special". Color me suspicious.
